The term stress, introduced by Hans Selye, was defined as „non-specific adaptive response to various kinds of agents” [11, p. 473]. H. Selye also makes the difference between eustress (appears on happy life events) and distress (identified in negative, traumatic events) [8]. Dancers may experience a lot of stressors such as: injuries, body image, aging, the need to keep their place in the company, performances, costumes, stage partner, etc.
