В статье впервые исследуется творческий тандем выдаю-щихся представителей осетинского искусства середины XX века. Изложено авторскоевидение на проблему датировки первой осетинской оперы. The article, based on the documentary material, highlights some aspects of the multifasetedcreative heritage of the artist M.S. Tuganov and the composer B.A. Galaev, introducesthe updated facts of the biography, ethnographic and pedagogical activities. The creativetandem of outstanding representatives of the Ossetian art of the XX century is explored in thisarticle for the fi rst time. The author’s vision for the dating of the fi rst Ossetian opera is presented.
