В статье на примере творчества Махарбека Сафаровича Туганова(1881–1952) и Азанбека Васильевича Джанаева (1919–1989) – одних из корифеев про-фессионального изобразительного искусства Осетии – рассматривается тема пре-емственности в национальной культуре. Автор прослеживает преемственную связь вжизни и деятельности двух выдающихся осетинских художников и заключает, что ихтворчество не только обогатило изобразительное искусство Осетии, но и расшири-ло горизонты национального самосознания и народной памяти. The article examines the theme of continuity in national culture on the example of thecreative work of Makharbek Safarovich Tuganov and Azanbek Vasilyevich Dzhanaev – one ofthe founders of the professional fi ne arts of Ossetia. The author traces the continuity in the lifeand activities of two outstanding Ossetian artists, and also concludes that their creative work notonly enriched the fi ne arts of Ossetia, but also expanded the horizons of national identity andnational memory.
