The purpose of the article is to familiarize the readers with the five-step methodology of training rescue workers in first aid. The proposed methodological techniques are based on a two-stage approach to providing first aid to victims in peacetime emergencies and military conflicts, including conditions of mass sanitary losses. A detailed description of the stages of the formation of knowledge, skills and abilities in the learning process will allow teachers to apply this technique when conducting first aid classes. The main attention in this article is paid to the fourth stage of training, at which the skills to provide first aid are formed in accordance with the order of elimination of life-threatening consequences of damage.
