It is in the Holy Qur'an that Hazart Ibrahim (A.S) vows to sacrifice to one of his son. Whom son he was? Ismā'īl (a.s) or ishaque (a.s). Allama sayūti narrated three riwayāt and said that was his son ishaque (a.s) the second son of Ibrahim (a.s). But Majority of the Mufsirīn have strong opinion that he was Ismā'īl (a.s) the elder son of Ibrahim (a.s) and this also the attested opinion of Bible. In the eyes of researchers the opinion of Allama sayūti was based on Israeli tradition.
