The study is aimed to evaluate Phytochemical and antioxidant, anticoagulant and fibrinolytic activity ofricinus communis. The herb plays a major role in the management of various liver disorders through thetraditional medical practices, followed throughout the world. It is better to use a poly herbal formulation thana single herb. Alkaloids and Glycosides were present in higher amounts in all extract. Flavonoids andSteroids were present in higher amounts in ethanol, methanol, aqueous and acetone extract. Carbohydrates,Tannis and saponins were present in higher amounts in ethanol, methanol and aqueous extract. Phenols andproteins were present in methanolic extract of ricinus communis. Ascorbic acid- non enzymatic antioxidantwas present in higher amounts in T1 which contained 1ml of extract and lesser amount was present in T2which contained 0.5ml of the extract. The present study revealed that aqueous, methanol and acetoneextract of ricinus communis shows no hemolysis and have more anticoagulant activity. The ethanol extracthave only mild anticoagulant activity.
