The yield of Tilapia nilotica fingerlings after 126 days was 52% less in fiberglass pools (4.12m2) treated periodically with 1 mg/l simazine than in untreated control pools. About 30% of this reduction seemed to be in response to the low abundance of natural foods (phytoplankton) in treated pools.
