Large medical equipment management is one of theimportant parts in the management of hospital, which has greatmeaning to the hospital development. However, the current use ofmedical equipment generally has the problem of high cost and lowefficiency, which brings great difficulty to hospital management.Based on the statistics of investment cost, operation cost and medicalequipment income of some large medical equipment in a hospital inSuzhou in recent three years, the economic benefits of large medicalequipment were analyzed in aspects of payback period and method ofrate of return on investment. The results demonstrated that theinvestment cost and operation cost of the large medical equipment inthe hospital management were both high, and the economic benefitswere significantly different between different equipment. Then basedon this, some Suggestions were put forward for equipmentmanagement, and the role of economic benefit analysis in hospitalmanagement was illustrated to provide some theoretical reference forfurther research.
