The article deals with the ideas of humanization of education process in general and at school. The concepts of “humanization” and “democratization of education” in domestic education are described. It is stressed that in modern conditions, the idea of humanizing education carries an element of novelty, since it is aimed at a qualitative change in the entire education system, which for many decades has functioned on the principles of imperative and sociocentric approaches, Two sides of humanization are defined in the article. The educational infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia region is shown. . In a survey of 70 school directors and 120 deputy school directors, 70% of them note that they are working on the problem of humanizing the educational institution and are interested in helping to provide methods and technologies that contribute to the humanization of the educational process at school. The main principle of working with teachers in the context of the humanistic transformations of school is described in the conclusion.
