Society and the different fields that create the society continue to exist by constantly changing. As a matter of fact, there is a constantly changing situation, as we are able to understand from the famous philosopher Heraclitus's statement "You cannot bathe in the same river twice". Therefore, new concepts have been used to explain this state of change. Thus, the former concepts can occasionally be insufficient to explain existing changes. Although the concept of 'postmodernism', which was first used in the 1950s/1960s, is a concept used to explain these changes, there is no consensus on a common definition. It is possible to see the reflections of postmodernism, which is in an ambiguous position by definition, in different areas of society such as architecture, art, culture, cultural studies, literary texts, economy and politics. The reflections of the postmodern elements that emerged in the field of architecture at first have become prominently visible in literature later on. It is seen that there are differences in terms of content and method in the narratives in the postmodern period, which expresses the post-modern period in literary literature. Keywords: Postmodernism, Literary texts, Waiting for Fear, İntertextuality, İrony.
