Problems in Teaching and Learning English in Grades 1–3 of the Primary School in the Opinions of Teachers The aim of this study was to show problems in teaching and learning English in grades 1–3 of the primary school in the opinions of teachers. The research included 15 teachers working in the Lubelskie and Świętokrzyskie Voivodeships, Poland. The results show that children learning English have the greatest problems with grammar, followed by reading and writing. In the first stage of learning, teachers should focus on pronunciation and speaking. Teachers have the main problems with the choosing of appropriate teaching methods, which is the result of a lack of adequate preparation during studies.
