Parkinson disease-PD has affected an increasing number of individuals, compromising\udtheir functional skills progressively and irreversibly, requiring preventive and rehabilitative actions. Objective: To\udpresent and discuss the effect of occupational therapy intervention with a 70-year old patient diagnosed with PD.\udMethod: This is an experience report with a single subject. An intervention plan including an exercise program for\udextra-care activities and home visits for observation of possible difficulties and risk of falls in the environment has\udbeen prepared. The measurement of independence was performed using the Functional Independence Measure-FIM.\udThe intervention occurred during six months. Results: It was identified improvement in eating and writing activities.\udThere was one score of improvement documented in FIM. Conclusion: The importance of the intervention of\udoccupational therapy is enforced, which in this context improved the occupational performance of this subject in\udthe daily life activities, contributing for maintaining functional performance
