The magnetic susceptibility of sedimenting material trapped at two sites in Lough Neagh has been measured over 1 year. The magnitude of susceptibility in one of the traps correlates with rainfall in the catchment, suggesting a link between channel erosion and the magnetic properties of eroded sediment.
