Enclosed chambers for reverse flow concentration allow convenient and gentle concentration of particles for a wide variety of purposes, including routine 1,000× concentrations of oceanic particles. The recovery of viable organisms from the enclosed concentrators is considerably greater than in previously used reverse flow techniques.
