Profesorul Aurel Russu – un veac de singularitate

The paper is a tribute to Prof. Aurel Russu at his\udcentennial celebration. He had taught Topography as\udprofessor with the Faculty of Silviculture and Forest\udEngineering - Transylvania University of Brasov. His\udpersonality is best described by the system of values\udhe has been promoting ever since: professionalism,\udbut not in a narrow sense, humanism, but without\uduseless chatting, and culture, without showing it off.\udProfessor’s well-tempered character and his natural\udsense of balance must be a pattern for molding anew\udgenerations even though the Romanians in general\udand Romanian foresters in special lack adequate\udprofessional symbols. But the real point might be elsewhere:\udin our weakness and inability to defend the\udprofessional and human values like harness, stamina,\udelegance, discretion, and the last but not the least, the\udold-fashioned politenes
