Statistica padurilor statului (1907)

Under the journal’\udheading Restituiri it is reproduced the paper Statistica\udPădurilor Statului/Statistics of State Forests elaborated in\ud1906 by the Ministry of Agriculture. It is the second paper\udof this type, after the one elaborated in 1899, and presents\udthe state of forests on the Kingdom of Romania inside the\udborders from the end of the 19th century and beginning\ud20th century. In contrast to the first inventory of forests\udthat presents exclusively statistical data, with tables, in\ud240 pages, the present paper containes data presented at\udthe country and counties levels, accompanied by an analysis\udand an interpretation of these data. In the first part of\udthe paper, entitled General Statistics, there are presented\udand analysed a series of data concerning the entire forest\udarea of the Kingdom of Romania. In the second part there\udare presented the environmental framework of the country\ud(geology, relief, hydrographic system, climate, winds) in\udrelation to the forests, and tree species and shrubs that are\udpresent in forest flora of the country.
