Direct torque control is one of modern methods of A.C. machines control. The direct torque control methods with direct calculation of the vector voltage and vector pulse width modulator were developed and experimentally tested at the Department of Electronics. The paper describes the theoretical assumptions of developed control methods and differences from classical direct torque methods. In the paper, important quantities are shown which were measured on a real induction motor drive with digital signal processor control system
