Ejemplos de la recepción creativa de la literatura española en la literatura eslovena

The contacts between Spanish and Slovenian literature were relatively modest in the spiritual history of both nations. In the past a few Spanish works has been translated into Slovenian, but in the second half of the 20th century, much has changed. The Slovenian authors had been increasingly translated into Spanish in recent years, although these translations are still very few. In the Slovenian literary history and criticism there were few writings about the influence of Spanish writers on the Slovenians. But in the last two decades the Slovenian hispanists are discovering the hidden Spanish influences on both, the Slovenian writers of the 19th century (Prešeren) and on more modern authors. It is a creative reception of Spanish themes and forms included by Slovenian authors in their literary works. This article highlights some examples of creative reception of Spanish literature in Slovene literature production, for example Cervantes' Don Quixote, the Spanish poetic form gloss and romance, as well as insightful metaphor of Lorca's poetry
