Work-related burns in three foundry workers: Importance of occupational safety methods

Work-related burns are responsible for a large proportion of work-related accidents, and also constitute an important group in occupational dermatoses. Occupational burns may occur in many lines of work. It has been demonstrated that employees who are most affected by molten metal burns are foundry workers. In some countries, work-related burn injury prevention programs are being developed. A significant decrease can be achieved in the frequency of work-related burns by increasing protective measures and informing workers. In this case report, to draw attention to this occupational problem and to review current literature about work-related burns, we presented three foundry workers with burns.\u
