It is a well-known fact, that too many men are having prostate biopsy performed with negative biopsy results. The decision to undertake prostate biopsy is usually based on prostate specific antigen (PSA) level and digital rectal examination (DRE). A risk-based strategy may reduce the numbers of unnecessary prostate biopsies.
