Transfusion of allogeneic blood in breast cancer surgery is variable, and differences of transfusion incidence have been observed in the literature. Here, we aimed to audit the blood utilization in patients undergoing elective breast surgery in our hospital and thereby optimize the blood ordering schedule, economic burden, and loss of clinical resources.
