Evaluation criteria for selecting an organisation in the engineering profession. This study deals with identifying the evaluation criteria according to which people in the engineering profession choose the organisation where they will work. The research group consisted of 211 final-year engineering students, and 256 engineers employed by a specific organisation. A significant difference (p<0,01) was found between the relative importance of the evaluation criteria used by the students and those used by the employed engineers. Both groups, however, regarded intrinsic factors, for example, nature of work, achievement opportunities and recognition, as most important in choosing an organisation.
