‘The choreography of evasion’: The poetical power of negation in the work of Elisabeth Eybers. This article is an exploration of the striking use of words with the prefixes on- and ont-,as well as other negatives, markers of negation or terms and affixes of deprivation, like sonder,-loos, etcetera, in Elisabeth Eybers’s poetry. It is a hermeneutic investigation into the possibilities of expression offered by negation and the role they play in her poetry and poetic conception. Eybers often creates an alternative world by means of negation. This is typical of her poetics and poetical stance
