As part of the Geological Survey of Canada's Geo-mapping for Energy and Minerals Program (GEM, 2008 - 2013), glacial dispersal down ice from a polymetallic volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit at Izok Lake, Nunavut was studied. Analysis of samplescollected at, and down ice of, the Izok Lake Zn-Cu-Pb-Ag VMS deposit indicate that Zn, Cu, Pb, Fe, Ag, Cd, Sb, Bi, Hg, Se, In, and Tl are pathfinder elements for the Izok deposit in the <0.063 mm fraction of till. Pathfinder elements indicate that metal-rich debris from the deposit wasglacially dispersed at least 8 km down ice, generally to the northwest. Of the pathfinder elements, Zn has the highest contents in till immediately down ice of the deposit.
