Ice and snow are part of the Canadian psyche, and naturally Canadians are leaders in scientific research in this field. This video looks at some intriguing research under way, including work conducted from a huge slab of ice adrift in the Arctic Ocean not farfrom the North Pole, and the extraction of ice cores whose geological records provide us with the key to the Earth's past.
