Objectives: The multidimensional view of pain, characterized by both psychosocial and physiological components, lays the foundation for the use of different treatment techniques. In the article will be presented a model of multicomponential intervention that includes the intervention of the rheumatologist doctor, the psychiatrist doctor, the psychologist-psychotherapist, the doctor specialized in acupuncture, the naturopathic doctor and the person in charge of sweet gymnastics and tai-chi, paying particular attention to the approaches of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and EMDR. Methodology: The fibromyalgia syndrome is a complex rheumatic disease characterized by a set of physical symptoms including chronic and widespread pain, fatigue, stiffness and sleep disturbances, which cause considerable suffering to those affected. The classification criteria and the differential diagnosis highlight the still controversial nature of the syndrome, despite its diffusion and the discomfort it causes to those who suffer from it. The intervention is structured as follows: medical diagnosis, psychological assessment, treatment. Results: integrated intervention proposal Conclusions: integrated intervention being applied to four patients.
