Harpalomimus, a new genus of the subtribe harpalina Bonelli, 1810, is described for Harpalus bitinctus Jeannel, 1948 (type species) from Madagascar and for H. europae n. sp. from Europa Island. The habitus and male genitalia of the treated taxa are illustrated.
