This commentary summarizes the results of a study of the changes in the scale and scope of U.S. New Blue Economy business activity over the period of 2015‐2020. Drawing on the results of 2015 and 2020 web surveys and secondary analyses of the activities of U.S. businesses determined to be active in the provision of New Blue Economy products and services, it describes how this important industry cluster is responding to changes in the requirements for data and information to support the wider Blue Economy.
