A velhice como espetáculo

Este texto é parte da pesquisa “Manifestações afetivas do idoso hospitalizado”, desenvolvida em uma perspectiva multidisciplinar. O trabalho tem como objetivo trazer alguns elementos de reflexão para pensar a questão da velhice a partir da concepção de curso de vida e da Teoria da Atividade, apoiando-se, especialmente, nos textos de Anita Néri e nas obras por ela organizadas. A partir de um olhar, que se distancia do senso comum, sobre cenários e fatos do cotidiano, analisando notícias veiculadas pela imprensa, chamamos a atenção para a ideologização do discurso sobre a velhice e para o confronto necessário entre os resultados das pesquisas sobre o tema e os conceitos assimilados de forma acrítica pela sociedade.This article is part of the research "Affective manifestations of the hospitalized elderly", developed from a multidisciplinary perspective. The work has the objective to bring up some reflection elements, to consider the question of the old age, from the life course conception and the Theory of Activity, supporting itself, especially, in the texts of Anita Néri and in the works organized by her. From a view that is distant from the common sense, about daily scenes and facts, analyzing press news, we call the attention to the ideologization of the speech on old age and the necessary confrontation between the results of the research on the subject and the uncritical concepts assimilated by society
