This work is about the construction of identities in football from the textual analysis of a game between Grêmio x Flamengo, for the Brazilian championship in 2011. It shows how a sporting event, through the television support, can contribute to modify and legitimate structured identities and reflect on the intentions of the issuer to make this happen
