Sobre el origen y la influencia de los Annales martyrum

This article aims to establish the place and date of composition of the Annales martyrum, in the two recensions known to us. After an examination of its sources and its relationship with other texts, it is offered a thorough comparison between the Annales martyrum and the tradition of the liturgical calendars from Spain. Apart from that, and taking into account the importance of its influence in other annal texts from medieval Spain, the article explores its conection with the catalan annalistic tradition, which contributes to determine the origin of the Annales martyrum
