The aim of this paper is to study the textual tradition of this work by Lucian. The author discusses the text of several passages and she contends that the text ought not be altered, because the manuscript tradition in these passages is correct. The main support for this view is supported by the knowledge we have today about the koine language of the Hellenistic and Greek- Roman period and Lucian's style
