The suffix -si-, cognate with that in the adjective-genitive -ašši-, ašša- of the Anatolian languages, is said to exist in various Indoeuropean languages, specially in Latin. If this statement is proved to be true, the indoeuropeanness of the Anatolian suffix would be reasserted and the etymology of such Latin words as classis, assis, mensis, etc., could be explained. At the same time the cognation between the suffix -si-, the thematic genitive -o-sio and the Latin adjectives in -arius is pointed out anew
