The author makes some remarks on the text of Euripides’ Hécuba. He examines the excesses of textual criticism and looks into the passages where modern criticism has either reestablished the manuscript’s lecture or preferred other different. He justifies the lectures of manuscripts in vv. 460, 584, 615, 795, 878, 1167 and 1185
