The production of images of the city have been part and parcel of the urban pontics of the last decades. The new consumption spaces, pubhc or private, have been used, as shown in the case study of Barcelona, to create an image of a revitalized and attractive city for consumers, and also to reinforce an image of social consensus about an urban project adapted to the imperatives of the globalised economic system
