Only a small part of the large number of songs played by international volunteers on the Republican side during the Spanish Civil War has made it to us, although transformed by new demands. This text aims at analyzing the survival strategies applied to this repertoire along its path, against the cultural policies of censorship and neglect.

Sólo una pequeña parte del amplio número de canciones interpretado por los Voluntarios Internacionales en el bando republicano durante la Guerra Civil española ha conseguido llegar hasta nosotros, si bien transformadas por nuevas exigencias. Este texto pretende profundizar en las estrategias de supervivencia aplicadas a este repertorio, a lo largo de su trayectoria, frente a las políticas culturales de censura y olvido
