María Martínez Sierra: hacia una lectura de su vida y obra

Maria Martinez Sierra’s vital and literary career is studied. The author is studied as writer, thinker, businesswoman, feminist activist, socialist militant and deputy. The authorship of the works signed Gregorio Martinez Sierra is analysed through some autobiographic texts like Una mujer por los caminos de España (A woman through Spanish routes) (1952) and Gregorio y yo: medio siglo de colaboración (Gregorio and me: a fifty-year collaboration) (1953). Her career as theatre writer and essayist is described along with her significance in the struggle for women self-determination and modernization. Se estudia la trayectoria vital y literaria de María Martínez Sierra como escritora, pensadora, empresaria, activista feminista, militante socialista y diputada. La autoría de las obras firmadas como “Gregorio Martínez Sierra” se analiza a través de sus textos autobiográficos: Una mujer por caminos de España (1952) y Gregorio y yo: medio siglo de colaboración (1953).
