This article presents Hungarian linguistic influence as expressed in the first preserved linguistic monument of the Prekmurje language, the Martjanci hymnal. Hungarian loanwords and Hungarian calques are presented in dictionary format and the dictionary entries contain grammatical information, etymological explanations, references to available Prekmurje dialect and historical dictionaries, and illustrative examples.
