Neke odrednice zadovoljstva socijalnom podrškom njegovatelja osoba oboljelih od Alzheimerove bolesti

Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi percepciju zadovoljstva socijalnom podrškom njegovatelja članova obitelji oboljelih od Alzheimerove bolesti te doprinos prediktora u objašnjenju zadovoljstva neformalnom i formalnom podrškom. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 56 neformalnih njegovatelja članova obitelji oboljelih od Alzheimerove bolesti na području Hrvatske, od toga je 34% osoba muškog spola te 66% ženskog spola. Raspon dobi sudionika istraživanja kretao se od 26 do 88 godina (M=59,71). Rezultati regresijske analize pokazali su da su njegovatelji koji koriste aktivne strategije suočavanja te oni koji rjeđe koriste pasivno izbjegavajuću procjenu situacije zadovoljniji socijalnom podrškom koju dobivaju od neformalnih pružatelja podrške (obitelji, prijatelja, kolega na poslu, susjeda). Kada govorimo o zadovoljstvu njegovatelja osoba oboljelih od Alzheimerove bolesti formalnom socijalnom podrškom, rezultat pokazuje da su sudionici muškog spola koji izražavaju niži stupanj sagorijevanja i intenzivnije koriste aktivne strategije suočavanja zadovoljniji socijalnom podrškom koju dobivaju od formalnih pružatelja podrške. Zaključno, potrebna su sustavna istraživanja o njegovateljima, njihovim dnevnim aktivnostima u skrbi, oblicima podrške koju trebaju, financijskim teškoćama i načinu usklađivanja njegovateljske uloge s drugim obvezama. Nadalje, važno je senzibilizirati stručnjake te staviti snažan naglasak na profesionalnu odgovornost svakog zdravstvenog i socijalnog djelatnika u procesu osiguravanja pravovremene i potpune informacije koja će olakšati njegovatelju mogućnost koordiniranja zahtjeva svakodnevne skrbi za oboljelu osobu.The aim of this study was to determine the perception of satisfaction with social support for caregivers of family members of patients with Alzheimer’s disease and the contribution of predictors in explaining satisfaction with informal and formal support. The study included 56 informal caregivers of family members of patients with Alzheimer’s disease from the Republic of Croatia, 34% male and 66% female. The age range of the participants ranged from 26 to 88 years (M=59.71). Results of regression analyses showed that caregivers who use active coping strategies and those who rarely resorted to passive avoidant assess situations are satisfied with social support they receive from informal providers of support (family, friends, colleagues, neighbours). With regard to the satisfaction of caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s with formal social support, the result shows that male participants who express lower level of combustion and intensive use of active coping strategies are more satisfied with the social support they receive from formal support providers. Finally, we need systematic research on caregivers, their daily activities in care, types of support they need, financial difficulties and the method of harmonizing nursing roles with other obligations. Furthermore, it is important to sensitize professionals and place a strong emphasis on professional responsibility of every health and social worker in the process of ensuring timely and complete information that will facilitate the caregiver ability to coordinate the daily demands of care for the affected person
