Teškoće pri zapošljavanju i radu osoba s intelektualnim teškoćama

Iako je pravo na rad temeljno pravo svakog pojedinca, osobe s intelektualnim teškoćama imaju posebno nepovoljan položaj u svijetu rada. Poslodavci iskazuju nepovoljnije stavove prema zapošljavanju ove skupine osoba, u usporedbi s ostalim osobama s invaliditetom. Cilj je istraživanja ispitati latentni prostor teškoća pri zapošljavanju osoba s intelektualnim teškoćama percipiranih od strane poslodavaca. Sto pedeset i četiri poslodavca Primorsko-goranske županije ispitana su Skalom «Intelektualne teškoće» koja je sastavni dio Anketnog upitnika motiviranosti poslodavaca za zapošljavanje osoba s invaliditetom (Kiš-Glavaš, 2002.). Dobivena su četri faktora: Faktor teškoća u socijalnom ponašanju, Faktor radne nekompetentnosti, Faktor nesamostalnosti i Faktor socijalnog neprihvaćanja. Poslodavci ovog uzorka najviše prepreka vide u zapošljavanju ovih osoba na dobivena prva dva faktora, odnosno u pretpostavljenoj radnoj nekompetentnosti i teškoćama u socijalnom ponašanju ovih osoba. Ovim se rezultatima potvrđuju raniji nalazi koji ukazuju na potrebu informiranja poslodavca o sposobnostima i mogućnostima osoba s intelektualnim teškoćama, u cilju otklanjanja ili ublažavanja predrasuda o radnom potencijalu osoba s intelektualnim teškoćama.Although the right to work a fundamental right of every individual, people with intellectual disabilities have a particularly disadvantageous position in the world of work. Employers expressed unfavorable attitudes toward employment of this group of people, compared with other persons with disabilities.The aim of this study was to examine barriers in the employment of people with intellectual disabilities are perceived by employers. Hundred and fifty-four employers in County of Primorje-Gorski Kotar, were tested with Scale of intellectual disabilities, which is an integral part of The Questionnaire of motivation to employ persons with disabilities (Kis-Glavas, 2002). The scale has four factors: Factor difficulties in social behavior, work incompetence factor, factor dependence and social non-acceptance factor.Employers think that most barriers to employment of these individuals are in their presumed incompetence and in the social behavior of these individuals, which are presented with first two factors.This findings confirms earlier ones and suggest that employers need to be inform about the abilities and capabilities of people with intellectual disabilities, in order to eliminate or mitigate the potential bias on the employment of people with intellectual disabilities
