The European Union has started a significant path towards a common regulation and supervision of the national economic policies. We analyse the key ideas that support the beginning of this change, the extent reached with this new European Economic Governance (EEG) and, also, those proposals that are currently on the table to continue the reform of the different elements of this Governance. This analysis is completed with the identification of the EEG measurements, grouped in a structure of a Balanced Scorecard, following the four perspective structure of this tool.
