The paper analyzes the interwar period architecture of rural houses in Kaunas County, their types and exterior. The aim of the research is to analyze the rural dwelling-house architecture during the interwar period in Kaunas County by distinguishing the characteristic types of such rural houses and identifying their prevalence; also analyze the basic factors that influenced the architecture, plan structure, innovations and continuity of the building tradition of the rural living houses
