The article discusses advantages of multiphase motors against three phase motors. It considers the areas of application of multiphase induction motors. The author proposes concentrated double layer short pitch coil winding connection. The research indicated that according to the first harmonic, the short pitch coil winding has greater efficiency than a full pitch coil.
