The article examines the current heating system in Pasvalys. To improve the efficiency of the system, three alternatives are investigated. The paper presents the calculations of the need for annual heat demand in the town. Based on the available information and data about the systems and their elements, life cycle analysis and multi-criteria analysis were made displaying the obtained results in the article. Currently, environmental protection is closely related to the energy field, and therefore the system is analyzed in respect of energy and ecological aspects, including an economic point of view.
