Recycling materials for construction of solar collectors are considered in this paper. In this way it is possible to reduce pollution of the environment littered up with industrial and building waste and scrap. The collectors become cheaper and cheaper. In order to tackle the problem a testing prototype was made ‐ a metal tank of 100 1 volume ‐ and glass wool and sawdust were used for heat insulation. Experimental tests were conducted, the estimates of resistance to sudden variations of temperature and efficiency under different meteorological conditions were established during testing. The test results showed that sollar collectors made of recycling materials possessed good exploitation properties.
