The article is devoted to the approach to the study of the transformation processes of the industrial complex in the context of the introduction of digital technologies. The authors show the evolution of the Russian Federation’s priorities in the field of digital technologies, and highlight the leading technology clusters. The methodological basis of the research, including process, technological and industry approaches, is substantiated.
