The study focuses on the prospects and advantages of high-temperature ceramic, glass-ceramic materials and oxidation-resistant coatings use for fabrication of high-speed aircraft structures. The paper describes achievements of Federal State Unitary Enterprise “All-Russian Research Institute of Aircraft Materials” in the field of ceramic materials development via hybrid method of spark plasma sintering, sol-gel method and thermochemical synthesis. Moreover, the article shows the research results concerning the development of oxidation-resistant coatings for C/SiC and C/C materials.
