In 2020, the European Society of Cardiology issued new guidelines for exercise in patients with cardiovascular disease. The review outlines the main provisions of this document with an emphasis on key sections. The first part includes information on the basic principles of training in healthy individuals and individuals with cardiovascular risk factors.
