Objective. To emphasize diagnostic and therapeutical difficulties of tumoral diseases of the temporal bone in children. They need early clinical and imagistic addressing and full histologic examination, some of these tumors benefiting a favorable prognosis with proper oncologic therapy. Material and method. 2 patients with Langerhans cell hystiocitosis are presented, stressing clinical key points that account for late diagnosis and treatment. Conclusions. Surgery can be useful for local control of the disease. Use of conservative methods seems appropriate, in conjunction with oncologic therapy.
