This article presents problematic alcohol consumption in a medical district of Giurgiu and comparison with other areas of Romania and other parts of the world. Statistical analysis performed reveals similarities with studies on this subject in the literature, and as well as differences. It also highlighted the link between alcohol and somatic and mental pathology present in investigated patients.
